TREASURE (Travel Abroad for Medical Student through Exchange)

TREASURE is a project for the introduction of the Exchange Fair, which is a medical faculty student facility to exchange to the country they want.

This activity has held a SCOPE CIMSA UNEJ in April 10,11,15,16 where the first activity was an open booth activity, where in this activity students from the University of Jember Medical Faculty who were members of the scope of Cimsa opened booths located in the lobby of the H building for the purpose, from this open booth is to provide information about the medical faculty exchange fair in addition to the presentation of the exchange fair information at the open booth, it is also explained about the mechanism for the exchange fair exchange and which countries open the exchange fair program, besides that there is an explanation of the country’s difficulty level. divided by 3 level, where countries with high level 1 had no applicants were great but the reception of participants slightly last weeks to the state, level 2 enthusiasts and while, level 3 has fans, but acceptance quota of participants is very large, in addition to activities the open booth also led to activities or the game so that the students who come to the open booth don’t feel bored, where this game is called beer pong but we don’t use beer in this activity where the glass is change with questions about the insight of countries that open an exchange fair where everyone gets 3 pieces opportunity if successful answer will get a purchase discount at open booth.Continue reading

HAPPY GRADUATION!

Pada Sabtu, 6 April lalu Universitas Jember baru saja menggelar Upacara Wisuda Periode V Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 yang dilaksanakan di Gedung Soetardjo. Peserta wisuda dari Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Jember sendiri berjumlah 59 wisudawan. Selain itu, 12 diantaranya adalah member batch 2015 dari CIMSA UNEJ. Member-member tersebut yakni Griselda Fortunata S. P., S.Ked. ; Ni Made Trismarani S. K., S.Ked. ; Rena Hardianty, S.Ked. ; Samuel Hobarto Sampe, S.Ked. ; Ardhita Meily P. D., S.Ked. ; Kirana Nadyatara, S.Ked. ; Faradilla Firdausa, S.Ked. ; Agnellia Maulidya Utami, S.Ked. ; Azizah Mursyidati N., S.Ked. ; Diyang Shifa Arista P., S.Ked. ;⁣Zulaikha Rizqina R., S.Ked. ; serta Sabrina Nur Faizah, S.Ked.⁣

Panasnya cuaca di Jember pada hari itu tak menyurutkan euforia kebahagiaan para wisudawan serta keluarga yang mendampingi putra-putrinya dalam serangkaian upacara wisuda. Para kerabat pun senantiasa datang dan memberikan ucapan selamat, juga warna warni karangan bunga ramai menghiasi sepanjang jalan di sekitar Gedung Soetardjo. Senyum bahagia dan  perasaan haru menggambarkan kebanggaan dari para wisudawan serta keluarga dan kerabat yang ikut mendampingi.Continue reading

“dr. Laksmi Indreswari, Sp.B : “Pintar itu Bonus, Rajin itu Harus!”

Mahasiswa memiliki peran utama yaitu belajar, tetapi belajar tidak hanya didapatkan di dalam kelas, melainkan juga dari luar kelas. Salah satu contoh belajar di luar kelas ialah dengan mengikuti organisasi. Organisasi menjadi salah satu jembatan mahasiswa untuk bersosialisasi dengan orang lain, namun tidak hanya itu organisasi bisa memberikan wadah bagi mahasiswa untuk menyalurkan bakat dan mengembangkan kreativitas. CIMSA sebagai Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities menjadi wadah untuk dapat meningkatkan kapasitas mahasiswa kedokteran di Indonesia, dan menggunakan kapasitas serta kemampuan yang dimiliki mahasiswa kedokteran untuk usaha-usaha meyehatkan dan mencerdaskan bangsa Indonesia.

Salah satu Alumni CIMSA UNEJ, yakni dr. Laksmi Indreswari, Sp.B berbagi ceritanya mengenai pentingnya organisasi bagi seorang mahasiswa kedokteran. “Senang aja,  karena menjadi dokter itu harus berkomunikasi dengan banyak orang. Kemampuan berkomunikasi tidak bisa diasah lewat belajar saja, salah satu caranya bisa dengan mengikuti organisasi,” jawab beliau saat ditanya mengenai alasan mengikuti organisasi.Continue reading

MAMA (Maternal Acquaintance for Mom’s Awareness)

Maternal Mortality Ratio or Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) is the number of maternal deaths due to complications of pregnancy, childbirth, and the puerperium period recorded within one year per 1000 live births at the same time. Jember, one of city in East Java, has to be first position of the highest maternal mortality ratio in East Java. According to the health profile of Kabupaten Jember, in 2014 in Arjasa Subdistrict, the drop out of antenatal care or ANC rate was very high (K1 = 97%; K4 = 47%). This condition certainly has a big influence on AKI in Jember. Therefore, MAMA (Maternal Acquaintance for Mom’s Awareness) decided to focus on the ANC, especially  increasing the number of ANC visits in Kemuninglor Village, Arjasa District in an effort to reduce maternal morrality ratio  in Jember Regency.

On Saturday, April 13th 2019, a MAMA bonding was held. This activity was held in Kemuninglor Village, Arjasa District, Jember Regency. In the same day, POSYANDU was held also in this village. So that, this bonding event was held with POSYANDU activities in the village. MAMA was began with opening, after that it was continued by sharing about ANC explained by Indra Caesar as PETRA. In the middle of sharing, pregnant women or ibu-ibu was very enthusiastic to pay attention and answer a number of questions asked by the speaker. After sharing, in order not to get bored we invited pregnant women and WUS to sing the song “Ayo ANC” and give a game. The game was myths or facts about pregnancy. When the games ware done, mothers looked very eager to answer some of the statements given by OC regarding pregnancy. Mothers who succeeded in answering and explaining OC’s statements whether myths or facts then given door prizes such as household appliances.

NPEW (National Peer Education Workshop) 2019

Penyakit HIV AIDS adalah penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh infeksi virus Human Immunodeficiency Virus yang menyerang sistem kekebalan tubuh. Infeksi tersebut menyebabkan penderita mengalami penurunan ketahanan tubuh sehingga sangat mudah untuk terinfeksi berbagai macam penyakit lain.Data Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Jember menunjukkan jumlah kasus HIV AIDS sejak 2004 hingga April 2018 mencapai 3.786 kasus, dimana pada bulan April sendiri mencapai 260 kasus. Pada tahun 2018 hingga bulan April terdapat 288 pasien diantaranya meninggal dunia. Dari data tersebut didapatkan bahwa usia rata-rata yang mengalami kasus HIV AIDS antara umur 25-49 tahun. Ibu rumah tangga merupakan jenis pekerjaan dengan jumlah kasus terbanyak.

BREATH (Build Recognition and Awareness to Fight Tuberculosis)

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by a bacterium. The bacterium responsible for TB, called Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), is transmitted by people infected with pulmonary (lung) TB who release Mtb into the air through coughing, sneezing or spitting. Based on WHO report that Indonesia got 1.020.000 cases of TB in 2017. And by the Minister of Health statement that Jember has 3.497 cases, so that Jember occupy the second place of the most cases TB in East Java. And from this, within the International Tuberculosis Day, SCOPH CIMSA UNEJ held a project called BREATH (Build Recognition and Awareness to Fight Tuberculosis).
